Founder and Director:

Angela Vernon-Lawson is a safeguarding, risk, and resilience specialist with over 30 years’ experience across security, humanitarian work, justice, academia, and youth services.

She works at the intersection of prevention and transformation and is driven by one clear mission: To disrupt cycles of harm and create safer physical and digital environments for young people and adults, as well as more resilient spaces. Her work is shaped by decades of supporting children and families facing complex challenges, as well as insights from the Family Court system. This has driven her trauma-informed, prevention-focused approach that prioritises lasting change over quick fixes. Angela also brings lived experience of adversity, giving her a keen understanding of how harm, vulnerability, and boundary violations manifest in real life. She translates that insight into practical, compassionate strategies that empower individuals, organisations, and communities to build safer, more resilient futures.

She holds an MSc in Security and Risk Management (University of Leicester), is a Chartered Security Professional and Fellow, and a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
