Services for Young People:

Let's Chat:

Let’s Chat is a FREE service that provides a confidential, non-judgmental space to discuss anything that matters to you - home, education, relationships, friends or something more personal like confidence, self-esteem or social media pressure.

Remember, we are a support service, not a counselling or therapy service, and you set the pace. We can talk for as little or as long as needed. We can sit in silence.

It's a space to start a conversation to explore and understand situations that may feel difficult to describe, process, or cope with.

To support those under 16, we insist that members of our team hold an enhanced DBS, and a young person will be encouraged to disclose to a parent, guardian, carer or responsible adult, and that, in certain circumstances, those under 16 meet the Gillick Competence and Fraser Guidelines.

Yong people, just like adults, find themselves in difficult situations without warning. It may be something that has happened in the past, may be happening now, or you have seen or heard something that is worrying you. You’re not alone. Such situations can make you feel anxious and stressed. They can affect confidence, have an impact at school or at home. regardless we will listen and offer support.

You may need support for yourself or to help a family member or friend; this may be because you have experienced, witnessed or know someone who is experiencing. For example -

  • Bullying or worse

  • Social media - someone you do not know keeps contacting you

  • Feel unsafe at home, school or any space or place you visit

  • Being exploited financially or sexually and being controlled into doing something you know is wrong or does not feel right by your peer group or an adult

  • Worried about a family member who may be in danger

Under 16? We adjust the support approach to ensure the young person is comfortable, and we understand this may take time. We will discuss everything with you openly and honestly, which may include other trusted services within our network to enhance safety, confidence, and long-term well-being.

The service is provided in person (currently only available locally in Torbay). It is a confidential and non-judgmental space to discuss what matters to you.

With permission from a parent, guardian, carer, or responsible person, we can arrange online support.

We will encourage disclosure to a parent, guardian, carer, or responsible person. Should the disclosed information indicate an imminent risk of harm to self or others, we CANNOT promise confidentiality; that will be broken where you or the person you are concerned about is at risk of significant harm. For example -

  • There is a clear risk and a safeguarding issue

  • If we are required by law to disclose information

  • Public interest overrides privacy

Roots 2 Reset (R2R) Young People:

Roots to Reset (R2R) for young people is a structured, restorative, and rehabilitation-focused programme designed for those who use harmful, negative behaviours to control, hurt or influence others.

The programme supports individuals aged 13+ in understanding and recognising the impact of their actions on themselves and others. R2R's aim is to challenge attitudes, improve emotional awareness, strengthen accountability, encourage long-term behavioural change, and develop healthier ways of thinking, communicating, and responding to situations.

It is an opportunity to move forward personally, improve relationships, achieve academically, and make better career choices.

The programme is designed to help young people focus on changing behaviour and improving physical and mental well-being by lessening anxiety and building confidence and trust. More importantly, to have a voice and be heard.

Violet Intervention:

Similar to our Violet programmes for adults, Violet intervention is specifically designed for young people. It delves into the behaviours used in family, intimate, and friendship relationships.

'Intervention' means taking deliberate action to interrupt and improve a situation. To avoid hurting or abusing a person you care about and to improve your well-being.

We will work with you to understand what triggers your behaviour: words, sounds, people, witnessing others' actions, pornography, using misogynistic behaviours and peer influence are just a few examples. Of course, your behaviour may be influenced by more serious actions that you do not understand, that you have never spoken about, that you have witnessed, and that you believe are normal.

We work with you to unpick the reason, and this can take time to recognise the impact that trauma and adverse experiences can have on emotional health, relationships, education, and future opportunities.

Our focus is on supporting and encouraging personal growth, helping you to move forward positively at your own pace, and developing your ability to make informed life choices by identifying and managing your vulnerabilities, triggers and boundaries

We prioritise safety, trust, dignity, and empowerment. We recognise that every young person's experience is unique, and support is tailored to meet your needs, lived experiences, circumstances and future goals.

Our approach includes:

  • Early intervention and prevention

  • Restorative and reflective practice
